Fungi have long been one of his favourite subjects to photograph and he counts himself lucky to live in an area of Dorset where a great variety can be found during the autumn months. Recently he has also become interested in photographing Myxomycetes or slime moulds, whose tiny (0.25-10mm tall) fruiting bodies come in a range of fascinating shapes and colours, but demand specialised macro photography techniques to capture them well.
