Frozen Nature (#72)

Recently I became aware of the work of Japanese photographer, Makoto Azuma and of Bruce Boyd, who have beautiful photos mainly of flowers frozen in ice. Impressed, I have started experimenting with these techniques which allows the preservation of the beauty of the flowers over time. More interestingly this technique brings the contrast between the harsh ice and the beauty of flowers.

I used a 100mm macro lens with an exposure of 2 sec at f/22. seconds. I used light in the front and the back of the flowers.
