Dippers are incredible birds and display fascinating behaviour. They feed on invertebrates and small fish in fast flowing water and are the UK's only aquatic songbird.

This photo was taken on a beautiful morning where the mist hung above the water and the golden rays of the newly-risen sun backlit the scene. The dipper posed beautifully for me with the golden light in the background.
