Pandion haliaetus

This nest was near the marina at Flamingo Florida. There were two large chicks in the nest so a lot of fishes were needed. Once a fish was caught the parent would eat the head before bringing the remainder to the nest.

Canon 40D fitted with a Sigma 50-500mm lens set to 320mm. Exposure 1/1000 @f8 ISO 400.
