Pelecanus occidentalis

Taken at Fort de Soto Florida. These birds are quite approachable but using the long lens allowed me to get the background out of focus.

Canon 1D Mark 2 fitted with a Sigma 50-500mm lens set to 417mm. Exposure 1/1600 @f9 ISO 200.
