Lost in the Woods (#79)

This is a print of an abstract, which will be in next Thursday’s competition as a digital image (you saw it here first!).

The original photograph is from Holme Fen, looking up at the sky through the birch trees to a glorious blue sky.

I made this image in Photoshop using layers and a blending mode. I made a duplicate of the Background Layer, then used the Distort Filter, Twirl function, finally blending using one of the blending modes that gave me the sort of effect that I was hoping to achieve. Do you think that this is photography?
